Kakeroma Youth Hostel

We are a small youth hostel located on Kakaroma Island in the south of Amami Oshima, where the beautiful "Kakaroma blue" sea spreads out. Please come and stay with your favorite books or musical instruments, or as a vacation home, a trial I-turn, a diet, or for any other purpose you wish. We also offer a one-week study support program for youth. Kakeroma is a much larger island than you might imagine, and it would be a shame to leave after just a day or two! There are few stores and transportation is not convenient, but we hope you will stay and enjoy the island's leisurely pace. Please check the original website for the days when meals are served. Please note that depending on the arrival time of your flight, you may not make it in time for the ferry. Please be sure to make reservations by phone, email, or SMS, as we may not be able to accommodate you due to temporary closure or full occupancy. For overnight stays with no meals, the kitchen is not available due to health department regulations. Please use the refrigerator, toaster, kettle, and microwave in the living room."
